Vals Osborne - Stribling & Associates

Every day is an adventure. No matter who you are or what you do, an open mind and a keen interest in learning helps you to approach every endeavor in its own fresh and special way.

A true New Yorker, Vals brings a unique perspective to all her real estate endeavors. Her sense of history, creative flair and strong sense of style were nurtured early on through practical hands-on experience and her love of the arts. She grew up in Charles Ives' Upper East Side townhouse and raised her children in a classic Carnegie Hill prewar penthouse while working as an art dealer and pursuing her graduate studies in art history. The first woman director of education at Young Presidents' Organization, she was also founding director of Sotheby's Institute, NA, where she created graduate-level programs on American, European and Asian art, as well as architecture and the decorative arts. During her 25 years in real estate, her primary focus has been on high end Pre-War properties and townhouses. Vals has renovated two downtown lofts, and she has recently completed the restoration of her historic 1831 Greek Revival home in Ulster County. Vals was until recently a trustee of the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation and a founding member of the GVSHP Brokers Partnership.

My Approach

"Regardless of the price range, Vals is known for her creative marketing talents in selling properties at a premium for her clients, and for her in-depth knowledge and resourcefulness in finding the "absolutely right" home for her customers—without wasting their time or compromising their standards."

"Vals is a broker of executive stature, class & graciousness. Multilingual, with many years of experience in real estate, whether showing a townhouse, apartment, or lecturing at Sotheby's, she's the greatest. I'm proud she accepts me as a client."
Charles O'Neal, owner of a 171 year old Chelsea townhouse.

"We both so much appreciate, and consider ourselves so fortunate to have, your professional help. I am grateful, beyond measure, for your understanding." Suzanne Litner, customer re-locating to NY from East Haddam, CT.

"Vals is an invaluable guide to the New York City real estate market. She is intelligent, thorough, calm, and discreet and benefits from a seemingly endless reservoir of contacts and ideas. She has been a resourceful agent and a genuine support."
