James Hall began his career in Manhattan real estate with a listing of the historic Scribner mansion on the Upper East Side. British by birth, he lived his early years in the Caribbean and subsequently lived in Switzerland and was educated in England and the US. James brings his European background and sensibilities to his interactions with his clients.
His approach to working with clients is exemplified by his exceptional people skills and his instinctive understanding. “When it comes to being discreet, I treat every transaction as if it I were the client and every relationship as I would want to be treated myself.” James has a deep understanding of the financial markets and of complex financial instruments and his keen eye for data and statistics drives his passion for technology and in-depth analysis.
After a career on Wall Street that spanned three decades, James is comfortable with the pace of trading floors as well as building and managing advisory relationships with large institutions, hedge funds, wealth management firms and family offices. Working alongside his wife Anna Hargraves Hall, clients enjoy the seamless collaboration with a team that listens, understands and effectively executes selling and/or buying properties of all types throughout New York City. At Stribling, James and Anna also work with an extensive referral network throughout the United States and beyond that enables clients to leverage the Stribling brand and its extensive global reach.
Outside work James can be found enjoying life on the Upper East Side, the Hudson Valley, skiing, hiking, biking, cooking and learning the acoustic guitar.
