I put together a book called Alexis' Secrets to the City. It's like Zagat, but more personal. Clients realized I, as a broker, have something to add to their New York experience.
Experience
Alexis Van Der Mije is a hard-working, detail-oriented and resourceful real estate professional who enjoys finding customers a home they'll love for years. Alexis began her career in 2004, she gained valuable experience at Sotheby’s Realty assisting one of Manhattan's leading brokers.
Since returning "home" to Stribling, Alexis has been successful in the business, closing sale, rental and purchase transactions all across the city as well as handling new development sales. Extremely reliable, knowledgeable and dedicated, she easily and quickly wins clients' trust and loyalty by helping them feel informed throughout the process and confident in their decisions. Alexis has executed Real Estate transactions in the most selective Co-op Boards in Manhattan, and has gained valuable experience sitting on the board of her co-op on East 67th Street.
Originally from Palm Beach, FL, Alexis spent her formative years in and around New York City. She was educated at Westminster School in Simsbury, CT and went on to graduate from Denison University in Granville, Ohio with a BA in communications, spending a semester abroad in London at Goldsmith College. Returning to New York after college, Alexis worked in the high-profile art world at Sotheby's and the Tony Shafrazi Gallery. Her penchant for quality service and articulate communication skills, along with an eye for detail, made her transition to her longtime passion, real estate, a seamless one.
A member of the Real Estate Board of New York, Alexis is also active on the committees of the Museum of The City of New York, Boys Club of New York and Frick Young Fellows Ball. Residing on the Upper East Side with her French Bulldog, Tank, she loves the city's rich history, architectural diversity and wealth of things to do.
